Crunch Time, It's Getting Cold Out There!

My breakfast came hallowing in. Thats how you know know its delicious.

Mother of Pearl.

Joey Potts, Dio and I went to Hot Pop Gallery in Milwaukee, set up 53 pieces of work, had a beer and called it a days work. I still dislike the Public Market there, sorry Milwaukeeans, I just don't understand why it has to be soooooo expensive. This show will be up until the middle of November and has awesome artists from all over the Midwest with an amazingly forgiving price list...These will make great HANNUKWANAMIS gifts. 201 N. Water St. in Milwaukee, WI.

Back to work the next day doing a collaborative dinner with Flesh For Food and JBF award winning food blogger and author Hank Shaw. He is currently on a book tour funded by himself for his new book "Duck, Duck, Goose." You'll never guess what kind of meat he features.

Awesome times, awesome Virtue ciders and little known fact about Hank Shaw, He knows his golden era hip hop catalog.

Couldn't have said it better. Daffy was delicious.

I can finally cross of painting outdoors at NEO night club off of my bucket list. I've passed this place so many times in my youth wishing to paint the walls some day and I finally got to as well as realize how many people must use the smoking area as a bathroom/drug den during the day when the club is closed.

Best quote from working this day, "Here's a hammer just in case some methhead tries to get in."

Taking it back.

Another last minute job, but this one takes the cake because I was called for this while at another job a few hours before it needed to get done, good times. I also learned a valuable lesson...don't drink with bar owners, they drink harder than any chef/cook/waiter/artist out there.

Stress reliever.

My entry for the Deck The Halls show over at Vertical in November.

This was truly a nice stress reliever. Volunteering to help bottle, wax, and package Goose Clybourn's sour wheat beer. I would love a job like this, where drinking is almost mandatory...oh wait.

Went to Galerie F to check out the Your Are Beautiful gang and Matt Hoffman's new cut outs. The show, like all of his shows was amazing. Every single piece, whether his own or the curated artist had a lot of soul and heart in it. It was inspiring and made me feel less crabby than usual which is saying a lot.

A temporary installation for Co Prosperity Sphere's Mashtoberfest, inspired by the Danzig logo.

I'm The Office Whore.

Started this piece in Logan with the homies Sege, Amuse, Slugs, Koser, and Skol. I also realized right where I started had not one, but two piles of human shit.

The Chop Shop work continues! This is for their event space further down from the deli and right next to the bar. It may also be home to the next Brew HAHA event.

When in Gary, leave a mark that's not dirty syringes.

Hammond got that good goat taco son! I love places that specialize in only a few things and do them well instead of a ton of shit that sucks i.e. Bennigans, TGIF, etc. The space that the cook was serving out of had to be some kind of torture chamber for people that are claustrophobic. Whatever man, just gimme two tacos to go.

Went back to Logan and finished up and only stepped in the human feces twice.

This won't end well.

I am missing a lot of photos from this evening that started at Big Star with shots and beer. We ended up in Pilsen, back to Wicker Park and an awkward photo with Common and a tattoo. Adam is definitely that bad influence.

Not feeling good painting this next day.

I have no idea how I pulled this off after almost puking into my mask several times. Regardless, I finished this last minute job for Thompson Hotel and got sick for the next three days.

Yeah...I can't win em all.

Checked out Why at Lincoln Hall where Tony Trimm got called onto the stage and was serenaded with an impromptu song about him. I felt really old at this all ages show...like really old.

This shot was taken by the homie Scott Holterhaus and its me slangin kimchi garbage soup over at Maria's. I just realized that I only hang out in four neighborhoods reading this caption.

No words can describe how awesome this is.

Got invited to participate in another awesome group show over at the Lacuna Art Lofts. I dont know what it means really but I realized that the bottom pyramid looks really really sad.

Another black out night celebrating the wedding union between David and Becca. I remembered to take a shot of his beer collection as least!

The Chop Shop strikes again! This was a really fun one to do.

Checked out Mr. Prvrt's show over at The Chicago Truborn gallery. It was all Halloween themed and very meticulous with the stencil details. Definitely one of the better stencil artists out there doing they thang.

On the same night, This dude was showing at The Vertical Gallery. It was an amazing show complete with freehand line work that will blow your mind. What is it with Brazilians and their amazing line work? I'm just used to the amazing Brazilian transgender porn and futbol.

Back at it in Pilsen with Fes and Amuse on a crisp Monday morning. This is the first time I painted Raymonds Tacos and didn't get an order to go...I did poop in their bathroom though. Gotta keep some traditions alive.
